The Art in Me

I'm Gonna Be a History Maker

I'm an NJ lover at heart- (wouldn't want to be) Anywhere But NJ. I'm a math teacher who loves to write fanfic, poems, and songs. I used to want to be an author...but most of my fanfic is A LOT better than what I have written in the past as original work (mainly for English projects). I believe the written word is powerful and have required my students to write papers in my class to broaden their understanding of the subject.

It used to be that about 73% of the time I wrote poems or songs, I was feeling depressed, empty, or just in general need of help. It's better than breaking glass and it allowed me to calm a bit, look back in a few days, and try to understand my state of mind :)

Nowadays I'm generally moved by the power of faith and love. The change in tone in my writing, even the more depressing content, is evident. I also feel more at peace because of it.

And I'm completely obsessed with Star Wars...and Harry Potter...and coffee.
